AVM Kleinburg underway!

February 2023

In Late November, equipment moved onto the site of our new Kleinburg location where construction has started. As timelines get finalized, we’ll know more about delivery dates and be able to schedule our opening plans accordingly.
We anticipate opening this location in Summer 2024.

In December, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to officially mark the opening of the 4th Angus Valley Montessori School franchise, and the first to operate in the City of Toronto. Councillor Ward 18 Lily Cheng, families, special guests, owner/operators the Gupta family, and educators attended the event. AVM Uptown started operating in September 2022 and is filling classrooms quickly.

Information Sessions and Open Houses are part of our pre-opening planning for each new school location. This gives parents an opportunity to meet some of the AVM team, learn about our curriculum, a typical daily schedule, monthly menus and fees, plus have their questions answered. On Saturday, May 28th AVM Uptown met many families eager to secure a space for their children in our brand new preschool at Yonge Sheppard Centre.

Opening a preschool franchise location during a pandemic means you need to be flexible. You may have just figured out your typical day when everything changes and your schedule, procedures, and more get turned upside down.

That’s what Aleena and Bilal Zaidi, a brother and sister franchising team, discovered when they opened their Angus Valley Montessori School location in September 2021.

The two, originally born in Canada, were raised in Pakistan and then returned to Canada for university. They say they work well together—as Aleena explains, “We depend on each other. If you have a sibling, you have to be there for them.”

The first challenges the two faced were delays in opening their Vaughan, Ontario location. The pair originally hoped to open in 2020, and then in summer 2021, Bilal says. “There were a lot of delays, labour shortages, and restrictions by York Region on how many people you could have in the building, [as little as] one tradesman at a time. We anticipated we would be open for summer camp, but that was pushed back.” download

MILESTONE CELEBRATIONS HELD AT THREE ANGUS VALLEY MONTESSORI SCHOOL FRANCHISES

In mid-October, the Angus Valley Montessori Schools corporate team together with its Franchise Owners of the AVM Pickering, AVM Vaughan and AVM Milton locations held celebrations. Ribbon-cutting ceremonies attended by local politicians, parents, educators, and children marked the One Year Anniversary of Pickering and the Official Grand Openings of Milton and Vaughan.

The three GTHA locations are the first franchises to begin operations. “We are very proud of these schools. The welcome they have received from local families has been outstanding,” said Murtaza Hasan, Founder speaking on behalf of the Franchisor. “If we can complete construction, set-up classrooms, train franchisees, and safely open these pre-schools all during Covid-19, we are uniquely prepared to achieve our goal to expand in the next couple of years,” he added.

Attendees at each event, had the opportunity to meet the local school’s team, learn more about the daily programs, and tour the bright and spacious facility.

Now accepting enrolments, AVM Schools aim to ensure children receive the best possible foundation on every level, so they are inspired for a lifetime of learning, growing, and achieving. Parents benefit from having reliable and supportive childcare in a building custom designed by professionals who are fluent in creating physical spaces for younger age groups.

ANGUS VALLEY MONTESSORI SCHOOL OPENS IN VAUGHAN

AVM Vaughan has opened its doors to welcome Vaughan families. This new franchise is operating within beautiful and spacious purpose-built preschool on Dufferin Street. This is the third franchise location in the AVM Schools family and offers the full complement of Montessori education programs for Pre-casa and Casa children, infant care, before and after school care and Kids Camps for children aged 6 months to 6 years.

AVM Vaughan’s classrooms are bright, with oversized windows and follow the AVM vision developed by Jane Lockhart Interior Design which is a clean, contemporary style with fresh colours and natural materials. A safe and secure environment is provided through monitored security systems and daily, enhanced cleaning using the globally recognized Ecolab sanitization system. ANGUS VALLEY MONTESSORI SCHOOL ANNOUNCES NEW FRANCHISE IN THE CITY OF TORONTO

AVM Uptown located at Yonge Sheppard Centre in Toronto will comprise 10,000 square feet over three dedicated floors with private elevator access, and will be bright from floor-to-ceiling windows. Children will enjoy the 3,500 square foot private rooftop play area, a library, chef-inspired kitchen for daily meal and snack preparation. Parents will appreciate the convenience of the Yonge/Sheppard Centre with Longo’s (where we get our fresh food) as well as shops and services.

The Supervisor position is important to the overall school dynamic, and is responsible for helping to create the environment for children, parents and staff. AVM MILTON SIGNAGE GOES UP!

A significant milestone in the construction and completion of AVM Milton took place recently when the signage was installed on the outside of the building. This brings the purpose-built education centre another step closer to completion.
